the days were getting colder. frost was everywhere. trains had to go slow along the line and in yard sand had to put on the rails to stop the train and trucks from slipping. Annie a purple 1-2-0 tank engine was chugging down tracks. " i late for my new job!" thought Annie. she puffed quickly as she could. Robby was at Annan Station. he saw Annie. "Slow Down!" he yell. Annie put on the her brake. but it was too late and she slide pass the station. " sorry sir!" she said. "It not safe to be going too fast." Robby Warned. but Annie was late and as soon as she got going again. it was long before she reach the hill. " this hill will make me get there faster!" She got to the top and race down it. she saw Dumfries up ahead. "time to slow down" but she couldn't. she slid down the rails and in to an old siding. "help!" she came off the rail at the end. Dean came with some workmen and a towrope. the manger was with them. " I'm very cross with you." he told her. " Robby told me you going to fast. it not safe to be racing in this weather.". "yes sir. sorry sir" Annie felt very silly and I think she be carful now. don't you think?.
